FAWEESWA advocates for gender-responsive teaching practices to influence change in learning systems. The advantages of Gender Responsive Pedagogy (GRP) are advocating for classroom practices that ensure equal participation of girls and boys, including a classroom environment that encourages both to thrive.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, FAWEESWA conducted sensitisation workshops for Regional Education Inspectors and Head Teachers of the following schools: Matsetsa Nazarene High School, Maphilingo High School, Mphundle High School, Entandweni High School, Mhlumeni High School, Magwanyana High School, Emnotfweni High School, Mphelandzaba High School, Vuvulane High School, Hlutse High School, Mpaka High School, Shewula High School, Sigcaweni High School, Mafucula High School, Bekezela High School.
The objectives of the workshops were to introduce Gender Responsive Pedagogy (GRP) for Teachers to Regional Education Inspectors and to Head Teachers for their buy-in and support and there after to identify teachers from their schools who will be trained as GRP Trainers in their schools.
