FAWEESWA carried out a survey of three Tinkhundla areas; Ekukhanyeni, Siphofaneni and Nkwene to establish knowledge, attitude, behaviour of adolescent girls and boys on HIV/AIDS, STI’s, TB and Cancer diseases. The results of the survey pointed to the need to close the gap on knowledge and to address many underlying psycho-social issues. FAWEESWA held dialogues with adolescent girls on Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and the dreaded diseases such as, HIV/AIDS, STIs, TB and Cancer. Community Advocates for HIV/AIDS, STIs and TB were trained to educate and provide psycho-social support to the community and learners on the issues SRH and also refer cases to the nearest clinics. The end of the project evaluation indicated high knowledge on HIV/AIDS, STIs and TB because of all the input of the project.
